Training Lead

The opportunity
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Training Lead to join our McLarens UK and Ireland Performance team in a newly developed role. This is a home-based role and the individual can be located anywhere in the UK.
The role
Reporting to the Head of Performance and working closely with the QA and Development Lead, Regional HR team, and Practice Heads, your responsibilities will include:
⦁ Documentation and delivery of Graduate and Trainee programmes, to include:-
- Liaison with Practice Heads/SMEs/Third Parties to produce/schedule key training
- Maintenance of Graduate/Trainee calendars to ensure alignment of formal/”on the job” training
- Establishment of key milestones and definition of measurable objectives to provide objective view of performance/progression.
⦁ Maintenance of UK & I Training Library/Calendar:-
- Regular curation of Knowledge Hub, introducing relevant, and retiring redundant material.
- Providing consolidated view of UK & I operational training/learning activity, to ensure visibility/accessibility to all.
⦁ Development and maintenance of Mentoring Programme:-
- Develop methodology for partnering mentors/mentees according to development needs/skill sets.
- Manage any training needs amongst mentor cohort to ensure best practice observed/best outcomes realised.
- Gather and make use of feedback on process to allow for continuous improvement.
⦁ Create framework for supported study towards Industry Qualifications:-
- Liaison with CILA/CII as appropriate, to investigate/promote their offerings
- Consideration for use of external resource as appropriate
- Assessment of internal appetite for study, in order to size workshop approach towards key qualifications.
- Liaison with internal SMEs regarding relevant content
⦁ Development of McLarens UK & Ireland Learning and Development Strategy, to include:-
- Mapping training needs, in discussion with key stakeholders across the business (QA Lead, Heads of Practice, Committee Heads).
- Developing material/programmes in response to need, ensuring regular delivery on key themes.
- Developing expertise with LMS, in order to standardise approach to deployment of training, and recording completion.
- Provide support to ad-hoc projects as required
About you – Knowledge and Experience
⦁ Excellent communication, presentation and inter-personal skills
⦁ Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential together with an organised, methodical and analytical approach
⦁ Demonstrable experience in technical training is required, and a background in loss adjusting would be advantageous
⦁ Experience in developing and delivering training programmes in a variety of media
⦁ Familiarity with a Learning Management System-driven approach to training would be beneficial
⦁ Experience in tracking learner progress and identifying areas for intervention
⦁ A proven track record of building strong working relationships, externally and internally.
⦁ Strong stakeholder management with the ability to balance multiple deadlines.
⦁ Personal pride in delivering outputs on time, with a focus on quality and communication.
⦁ A willingness to travel throughout the UK and Ireland is essential
