The opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Mitigation, you will be responsible for providing support to our Mitigation Specialists and Loss Adjusters. Whilst the role is regional based, on occasion you may be expected to assist outside of area. If of interest, there may also be opportunity to travel and assist in CAT work.
The role
Your responsibilities will include:
- Liaison between McLarens adjusting staff, surveyors, insurers, brokers, insureds, external consultants, mitigation specialist and damage management practitioners.
- Providing on site emergency mitigation advice and triage assessments to key stakeholders.
- Assisting in identification of critical pathways and the development of recovery programmes
- Assisting mitigation specialist in facilitating impartial tenders to ensure best value is achieved on mitigation schemes.
- Site and desk-based review of ongoing projects and collation of data to assist in the validation of damage management accounts on completion of projects.
- Actively contribute towards McLarens’ business development programme.
- Undertaking projects and other ad hoc work as required.
About you - Knowledge and Experience
Successful candidates must be time served damage management practitioners ideally having a minimum of 5 years practical experience in the damage management industry, qualified to BDMA Technician and CSCS Health & Safety. A wide-ranging knowledge of damage management is required including structural and asset decontamination, mould remediation, and all drying methods including standard, high volume, desiccant, targeted and injection drying systems.
They will be able to demonstrate a focus on quality, communication and organisational skills and have a proven capability in negotiation, decision making and problem-solving. They will be working in a team environment to tight deadlines and an ability to develop strong relationships both internally and externally is imperative.
Due to the geographic coverage of the role, travel will be required.
