Summary

McLarens is searching for an Adjuster working in a designated region. The adjuster needs to be able to work under minimal supervision with the ability to travel as needed by resolving various types of losses. The Adjuster will require casualty experience with some residential and commercial property experience preferred. We are looking for an exceptional and resourceful problem solver, proactive thinker, and self-starter.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ability to read and analyze reports, documents, and data.
  • Inspect Property Claims and maintain expected caseload.
  • Efficiently partner with co-workers, leadership, and customers via telephone and other means of communication to convey detailed and/or complex information.
  • Receive and review claim intake daily.
  • Contact insurer, broker, and claimant to arrange appointment for first meeting.
  • Investigate and determine the extent of damages on losses up to the assigned threshold.
  • Visit insured/risk to investigate cause, circumstances, extent of loss, and damage.
  • Ability to maintain diary and respond to stakeholder inquiries in timely and professional fashion.
  • Provide local assistance on national accounts when necessary.

Required Experience & Skills:

  • 1-3 years of industry related experience.
  • 4-year college degree preferred.
  • Appropriate state adjuster license(s), as necessary.
  • Proficient knowledge of Xactimate or other estimating platforms.
  • Knowledge of the independent claims adjusting business.
  • Strong communication skills; both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritize.
