Senior Accountant Position

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage all cash accounts within our SAP system. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cash management, account reconciliations, and SAP Cash Clearing processes. This role is critical to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our cash transactions and financial reporting.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and reconcile all cash accounts daily, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
• Perform cash clearing activities in SAP, including monitoring and clearing open items.
• Maintain and update cash-related general ledger accounts within SAP.
• Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities related to cash accounts.
• Collaborate with Treasury and Finance teams to ensure proper cash application and reporting.
• Investigate and resolve cash-related issues in a timely manner.
• Prepare detailed cash reconciliations and related reports for management review.
• Assist with audits by providing requested documentation and explanations regarding cash transactions.
• Continuously improve and streamline cash management processes and system workflows.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP as applicable).

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience with a strong focus on cash accounts.
• Hands-on experience with SAP, particularly in cash clearing processes (mandatory).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial reporting tools.
