The Opportunity

As part of the continuing expansion of our forensic and technical services in EMEA, Halliwell Global, incorporating Brawdia, Halliwell Forensics and Fire Research have an exciting opportunity for an energised individual to take up the newly formed role of Client Development lead.

The successful candidate will be based in the UK and responsible for providing a range of activities in the account management and business development arena with a specific focus on retaining key clients, as well as identifying, seeking and securing new opportunities. The winning candidate will report to Executive Director, working day to day with our business unit leaders.

Halliwell Global is a multi-disciplinary engineering, building advisory and forensic investigation firm, founded in 1954 and wholly owned by global claims services provider McLarens. It provides expert, technical and unbiased services to insurance companies, law firms, and corporations across North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific. 

Summary of Responsibilities:

Working closely with Business Leaders and senior ‘sponsors’ of our Forensic and Technical businesses, the role will involve a range of key account management responsibilities, including:

  • Developing relationships across each account
  • Attending periodical review meetings
  • Drawing up strategic plans to identify/target growth opportunities
  • Working closely with global marketing to ensure consistent positioning and brand alignment
  • Drafting / implementing client handling instructions, ensuring best-practice standards across our forensic and technical service lines
  • Achieving agreed revenue growth and client-retention targets.

Working closely with the Business Development team, Practice Heads & Client Services to develop and maximise opportunities in specialist areas.

  •  Identify and prioritise target clients and sectors feeding into annual budget forecasts and strategic plans.
  • Supporting new business initiatives and pitch opportunities, ensuring our technical capabilities are clearly articulated and commercially compelling.
  • Identifying opportunities for thought leadership, technical guidance, and promotional materials to enhance market presence.
  • Disseminate client and market developments across the business to ensure cohesive and informed decision-making.
  • Track progress on business development actions and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure follow-through.
  • Working as part of a team to assist in the production of tender/presentation material
  • Contribute to the preparation of tender submissions, capability statements, and client presentations.
  • Helping to identify/formulate USPs and key propositions
  • Assist with the collation and refinement of content for PQQs, ITTs, RFQs, and due diligence responses.
  • Assisting in the compilation of content for due diligence responses
  • Undertaking projects, attending conferences and events and other ad hoc work as required.
